Elias, The Mobile, & The Papasan Chair
Elias had a very interactive and exploring day. After sleeping in his crib for the first night we took in a mobile to entertain him. It is a rain forest mobile with bright colored animals and leaves that flap. It also has more rain forest sounds, which Elias really seems to enjoy as well as some Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart. After a little bit of that we also brought in a papasan chair as it is called. It is basically a big floor chair for baby that plays music and vibrates in combo or by itself. Picture a big lounge chair for babies. At first he was a little unsure, but showing signs of being pleased to learn there is more to life than lying on you back and side. But he was like a stunned bug, unable to move, but pleased to do so. He eventually settled in and really enjoyed the "new view." Mommy read to him, and told him about places he will get to go when he gets a little older. Places like the aquarium, with the puffins and the fishes, the zoo, which really captured his attention as mommy described how elephants bathed in the mud, but for some reason the animal, "cheetah" seemed to make him smile every time we said it. Foreshadowing of his favorite animal perhaps? We will see, we are going to test it out again tomorrow to see if we get the same reaction. Mommy also told him about Busch Garden and all the wonderful countries you can visit in a day. Of course, not to disappoint anyone now, she told him about Walt Disney World. He was so attentive hanging on her every word. It was so cute to watch. We did take some more photos and some video as well. We will try to get them ready tonight and up before bed , but if not tomorrow for sure. We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and we hope to have some news tomorrow about a plan for our little hero!!

I smile when I say the word "cheetah" too - I mean, what's not to love? Give him a hug from his pal Brody.
