PM Update

Today was another good day! Elias rested most of the day, but did have a few moments of being alert and very playful. All of the nurses can not wait to see him without his tubes. Of course mom & dad can not either! It is very comforting to know that his nurses care so much for him and really enjoy what they do. We talked with the doctor again today and he told us that if Elias can remain stable, then on Sunday they want to pull out the chest tube and Monday extubate. We are keeping our fingers crossed for both of these very important milestones. Tomorrow his feeds will increase to 8cc per hour which is considered half his volume. The doctors are all confident that he will do fine.
