A Nice Quiet Day
As you could see from the pictures yesterday, Elias was very comfortable and back to his usual self. The doctors are still a little unsure how they want to proceed from this point, so it will be Monday before anymore discussion takes place. How he does over the weekend will probably play a significant role in their decision. He is comfortable and breathing over the vent. They are at the lowest possible settings. It seems that he doesn't need the pressures from the vent consistently, but at times he does let it do the work. These are mostly when he gets tired. Yesterday he was so wide awake when we got there and remained that way for most of the day. It seems like every time he would drift off to sleep it would be time for his cares, blood work, or a doctor coming in to check on him. Mommy & Daddy played with him and read him stories throughout the day. He was having a good time. He really likes when mommy reads to him. He just stares at her and wiggles around. Things this weekend should be fairly quiet for him, at least we hope. Thanks to everyone for posting on here, we tell Elias every day about all the people who love him and are thinking about him. One day he will see it all for himself.
