The bronchoscopy results showed nothing that should have caused any problems. The team is still conferring to determine what to do next. There are two items being debated with a decision to be reached in the morning during rounds. The first is to give him a smaller vent tube, the second is to try and extubate again, possibly as early as tomorrow, so we shall see.
For brighter news, we both got to hold him today!! This was Michael's first time holding Elias!! It was so exciting!! Katharine was impressed with how natural he looked holding him, because not only is this the first time holding Elias, but it's a first to hold ANY baby!! The link to the album is in the post below.
