Mobile Update - Doing Well

He is really wide awake. Been this way almost all day. We were able to get some photos & video. May not be able to post until tomorrow evening, as it looks to be a wonderfully late night. We plan to stay until Elias falls asleep. He is not showing signs of slowing down! Way to go Elias!

Mobile Update # 2 - Elias' Condition

Elias still unstable & critical. Despite showing some positive signs doctors still not comfortable with downgrading status.

Mobile Update - # 1 Elias' Condition

Elias is still unstable. He does look better than he did when we left last night. So that is a positive. Another central line may be needed, but are limited with where they can place it. He has 3 IV lines & a 4th is being put in now for all his meds fluids & a line for blood labs.

Mobile Update - staph confirmed

Elias' retest for staph came back positive. They have moved him to the isolation room in the NICU. They did not do the bronchoscopy only because the head ENT decided they would not see anything different. He agrees with waiting until he is bigger to extubate him again. We still don't know what bigger means for sure, but we think 6 Lbs is the magic number. He was 5 1/4 Lbs Monday.
